The FESB schools are financed through governmental funding, voluntary donations, and income-based school fees.
The annual gross household income (according to income statement) less tax exemptions for dependent children of € 4,488 per child serves as a basis for calculating the school fee.
The school fee is due for an entire school year starting with the beginning of the school year (August 1) and is to be paid in 12 equal monthly installments.
The parents bare additional costs for school books and teaching materials unless supplied by the Federal Land of Berlin. In case of exceptional impositions or in cases of hardship, a written request for a reduction of school fees can be submitted to the management board.
