Supplementary after-school care
Concept
The supplementary after-school care sees itself as a third educational organization next to the elementary schools under the umbrella of the Free Evangelical Schools Berlin e.V.
The profile of the after-school care is shaped by the message of Christian faith. To us, human life is something unique and special – God’s gift. Therefore by offering value-oriented education, we want to help discover meaningful goals for our times in this society in order to pave the way for our children and teens towards a meaningful and active life in our society.
Based on this goal, we will respect your child in his dignity as God’s creation regardless of his school performance and skills, and we will encourage his self confidence.
Furthermore, it is our goal to teach the children a respectful treatment of creation.
This is how want to lay the best possible foundations for these goals:
- By creating a friendly and secure atmosphere, by teaching mutual respect and acceptance, considerateness and helpfulness, by practicing blessing prayer, by protecting the personality, by practicing role-model behavior,
- as well as reliable, consequent and – as far as feasible – holistic actions of all staff members,
- by maintaining a consensus regarding goals, reasonable rules, consequent measures in case of inappropriate behavior, organizational structure,
- by encouraging long-term trusting teacher-student relationships,
- and last but not least by facilitating chances for change and a fresh start.
