English Camp at FESB’s after-school care center

June 30,2008 | In co-operation with the Bötzow-Viertel (Prenzlauer Berg) family center, an English Camp will take place the after-school-care center of the Free Evangelical Schools Berlin e.V. at 14 Christburger Straße from July 21 until July 26. The family center is a church founding project of the Lukasgemeinde church, and many of the team members are Americans. For 2 hours a day during an entire week, the after-school-care kids will study English with five American native speakers with the topic “creation”. The lessons were designed to be extremely versatile and involve learning through games, singing and arts and crafts. The kids will be spoiled with American treats for afternoon snack.

The Americans will come to Berlin at their own cost only to teach the students of the Free Evangelical School Berlin English. Instructed by our teachers, each American team member will tutor two children. Lunches will be supplied by the after-school-care-center kitchen since the center is open throughout the summer break. The fee for this week is 50 Euro. This amount is just enough to cover the costs.

The camp is designed for 55 to 60 participants.

Anyone who would like to attend should decide soon. A few places are still available. In order to sign up for the camp please contact the family center:
