Press release 06/2008

Press release 06/2008 from June 5, 2008
The Euro 2008 starts – today!

Today and tomorrow will be project days at the elementary school of the Free Evangelical Schools Berlin in Prenzlauer Berg, which will end tomorrow with the “Euro 2008”, the European Soccer Championship.

Getting to know each other prevents discrimination! For this reason every class has focused on one country participating in the Euro 2008. Today all these countries will be presented in songs, comedy sketches or self-shot films. In this way, the elementary school students get acquainted with Germany’s neighboring countries and prejudices are diminished. Europe grows together.

To round things off, the outside of the school building at 14 Christburger Straße will be decorated with the flags of all countries participating in the Euro 2008.

Tomorrow the project days will culminate in the elementary school European Soccer Championship. The teams will play all the games of the Euro 2008 in advance (according to the official game schedule), so that by tomorrow we will already know who will be the next European Soccer Champion. This event will be remembered for a long time.

The tournament will take place at the
Fußballwelt-Nord
36 Treuenbrietzener Str.
13439 Berlin Germany

Photos of the project days can of course be made available.
