Not only students, also staff members and parents are welcome to see our school counselor at School Stop Oasis in Prenzlauer Berg; they can stop by to get some problems and stress off their chest, they can learn to deal with conflicts in a solution-oriented manner, receive encouragement or simply take a few minutes to recharge their inner batteries, spend a few moments in prayer or have someone pray for them.

In addition, our school counselor, qualified child and youth therapist Peter Krauthäuser who is financed solely by donations, offers student mediator training for students from grades 7 to 10. The “trainees” learn how to mediate and de-escalate in helpful ways when conflicts between students arise. In the course of 20 sessions (90 minutes each) the trainees acquire important key qualifications such as social and communicative skills they can also apply outside of school and in their future work life.
