A place in one of our schools is more cost saving than a place in a public school by around 2,300 Euros per year. Nevertheless, the state does not compensate us for the costs that arise. The state of Berlin only subsidizes about 52 percent of the incurring costs. The FESB have to supply the rest by other means. This is achieved in part through income-dependent school fees. However, the fees only amount to about 18 percent of the costs. Therefore the FESB depends on donations.

You can support us in many different ways! For example through financial or in-kind donations or by volunteering. Maybe you can even imagine remembering the FESB in your will.

Every donation counts!

In Hellersdorf, we are building a new school building, in the summer 2008 the Immanuel-Schule moved into new premises in Spandau, in Prenzlauer Berg, the energetic renovations are under way, and a new building on the empty lot is in planning.

All of this takes money; a lot of money and a lot of trust in God. You may ask yourself, what your ten, twenty, or even 100 Euros can do for us, considering the fact that millions are needed.

We say: a whole lot! Only thanks to you, our plans can be realized. More than one fourth of total costs needed to run the schools are covered by donations. Many things we urgently needed were acquired with donation money: dictionaries, gym equipment, or musical instruments, only to name a few. You may rest assured that your donation guarantees our schools’ ongoing growth.

The FESB association is entitled to bear the German Evangelical Alliance donation test certificate. The certificate confirms among other things that the donations will be used solely for their specific purpose according to the donor’s intentions, that the address data of sponsors and friends will not be purchased, sold, leased or traded in, and that the promotion of donations is truthful, clear, and factual.

Your donation is tax-deductable, which means you can claim your donation in your income tax return.
